A School is an educational institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for the teaching of students (or “pupils”) under the direction of teachers. Learning environment can refer to an educational approach, cultural context or physical setting in which teaching and learning occur. The term is commonly used as a more definitive alternative to “classroom” but it is typically referring to the context of educational philosophy or knowledge experienced by the student and may also encompass a variety of learning cultures.

Learning environments are highly diverse in use, learning styles, organization and educational institution. The culture and context of a place or organization includes such factors as a way of thinking, behaving or working.

Most countries have systems of formal education which is sometimes compulsory. In these systems students progress through a series of school’s kindergarten or preschool provide some schooling to very young children (typically ages 3-5). Generally Primary school for young children and secondary school for teenagers who have completed primary education. An institution where higher education is taught, is commonly called a university college or university.
